How To Become a Travel Writer

A lot of people write me asking how to become a writer. There is an easy answer to that question. It is so simple that I used to stumble over the simplicity of it.

Writers read. Writers write.

My advice I routinely give is that over which I used to puzzle. But, do not miss the point here. If you want to learn to write then read everything in the genre which appeals to you. Read, read, and then re-read the great ones in your field.

I write primarily travel related pieces. The writer that I chose as my mentor is the travel writer, Bill Bryson. I have read and re-read everything that this man has ever written. And, I will read everything he continues to produce in the future. I not only enjoy his writing but apparently a great many people do too. He is a successful travel writer and that is why I read what he puts on paper.

I was actually a voice performance major at the University. I will never forget what my voice coach told me. He said that singing is 90% imitation and 10% original creativity– at first.

What he meant is that when you are just starting out, find the masters and imitate what you hear in their voices.

I believe this to be true in all the arts. When you are a beginner, a hack, find those who are the best and imitate them. Do not copy them exactly, but seek to find out what they do that is great in their field and seek to do the same. Eventually that 10% originality will become 100% you.

Also, writers write.

I was told to write 1000 words of publishable material per day. I mean write something that is worth publishing each day and do no less than 1000 words. You may think this a lot. It isn’t. But to practice tight writing pick some subject and write 1000 words a day. Do no more and no less. This will teach you to write something worthwhile daily and will teach you write tightly.

I deal with stress by finding the things in my day that flip me out and writing 1000 words about it. I am convinced that every single person who aspires to write can find loads of stuff in their days to do this exercise.

This exercise prepared me for writing 600 word op-ed pieces. If you can limit yourself to 1000 words on some subject you can start shaving it down to an op-ed size column.

Lastly, I have come across a small eBook that is worth taking a look at on travel writing. It is in the resource section below named, BECOME A TRAVEL WRITER.

Christmas Gift Ideas - Give Joy In A Simple Idea

What is a simple small act of giving during Christmas that does not cost much can leave behind memories that can last a lifetime to a loved one.

I remembered many years back, when I was a small kid of 10 years, one of my aunt who was a devout christian and who celebrated Christmas gave me a christmas present. It was a big sized book that I could read, on the story of a pirate on the high seas. It gave tremendous joy to me, a small kid at that time. It wouldn’t have cost her more than $10 for it, but her act that day gave me tremendous joy that lasted until this day - a simple act of giving that touched my heart, and which remains cherished. Though this aunt is now living in another foreign land, thousands of miles apart, and there has not been any communication between us for over twenty over years, yet there is this unwavering bond of love that somewhere in this world, there is someone who cared many, many years back, and whom I would desire to want to look her up and visit if there is an opportunity. Indeed, time and distance has not diminished the very memories of her beautiful act of giving that day.

I used to wonder why it is said that it is more blessed to give than to receive. I always felt that receiving something from someone else and keeping it in my pockets was more blessed than to give away.

But then when I think of this little piece of history and personal experience, and recalled the tremendous amount of joy in my heart when I received that story book as a gift, I could remember how my aunt’s face also lit up, and glowed, and she seemed to be to be almost like the wonderful fairy who takes care of everyone on earth, and I am sure she felt blessed, and happy.

Indeed, it is when we give away from ourselves and give to others, such as our loved ones and those in need that we can be blessed in return. A gift is a gift..because we give without expectation of anything in return, but the laws of nature and of this universe dictate that when we give out of love, this love is translated into an energy that cannot be explained, and which will touch lives, and change perceptions, and make the world a better place to live in.

So this Christmas season, pause and think of how we can sow love and give gifts and presents of love to others. Our gifts may not be expensive, but yet they can touch a life when we give off our hearts, and away from ourselves and when we give out of goodwill and love.

Indeed, it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Father Ernetti and the Philosopher’s Stone

And there will be many ‘experts’ who say that light speed is still not transcendable or that time is linear and it is not possible to do many things that I posit in these pages, I know. I offer up this site to these people and say that the whole truth of what Black Ops and other agents of real knowledge pursue is not under the control of NASA or The Smithsonian and other public or relatively transparent structure of academia and government. Here is a site worth looking into that discusses some of the things that many have known for a long time. It does not include the Catholic scholar/physicist who reportedly has developed a chronovisor in conjunction with Werner von Braun and Fermi’s inputs that would be similar to one thing the Philosopher’s Stone could achieve (http://www.lerc.nasa.gov/WWW/bpp/TM-107289.htm).

“Father Pellegrino Maria Ernetti (1925-1994) was a Benedictine priest, scientist, and world-class authority on “archaic” music (pre-Christian to 10th century A.D.). He claimed to have yoked quantum physics to the occult arts to construct a time-machine– the chronovisor. Father Ernetti said he had traveled to Rome in 169 B.C. to witness a performance of the now-lost tragedy, Thyestes, by the father of Latin poetry, Quintus Ennius. He claimed to have used the chronovisor to watch Christ dying on the cross. Why would so distinguished a churchman have felt the need to confabulate such a story? Is the Vatican suppressing the full truth of Father Ernetti’s life and achievements?” (1)

It is correct to say there are many impressions of what the Philosopher’s Stone is or what the ‘Great Work’ of The Philosopher’s might truly be. There probably have been some that are considered alchemists who have misled the general public about it at various times due to the Inquisitions just as was true with another of the quests of the alchemist. I refer in this instance to the homonunclus or artificial man that was made by Thomas Aquinas and his mentor and one-time Dominican bishop Frater Albertus Magnus. They were almost as Divinely Inspired as Constantine in their answer to the agents of the heresy trial they were about to face.

Personally I would give Constantine the Peabody Award for Marketing as he (A Mithras worshipper who was made divine by his children at the point of his death in the pagan custom of Roman Empire-builders, who also had many of their relatives killed in horrific ways at that juncture.) co-opted the teaching of Christ. It is my opinion that Christ was an alchemist as were his ancestors including Solomon, and Melchizedek. The intrigues are many to say the least. Today most people still think there is truth in the lie that alchemists were hermits seeking to make lead into gold and yet that was the desire of entirely materialistic medieval kings and nobles. Alchemists like myself do have to live the hermit existence if they (like me) are unwilling to sell out, but many of them are within the bowels of the hegemony. They encouraged many fakirs to lay claim to having the ability to do things they could not do.

Aquinas and Frater Albertus (greatly admired by one of the Illuminati founders - Goethe) said that their homonunclus was ‘the talking-head of Jesus’. Now what might that really have been that they made? I suggest they were in the process of making a Stone and had a way to foretell certain events that the likes of Edward Kelley did. He too is said to have had a Stone and England’s arguably greatest scholar (and spy) John Dee believed Kelley. But I think Aquinas and Magnus had the same thing Kelley had - a scryring stone or skull. Such skulls as are found in Mexico have a many millennia artifactual relationship in ancestor-worship throughout the ages and all cultures have had some kind of shamanistic people who attuned through them.

I know that this is not a full answer and there is no way I can give a real and full answer in a few pages. The lies of those hiding the knowledge are equaled by the lies of those seeking or fearing the knowledge.
